BCVS - Making Friends and Influencing People - Wednesday 21 October 2009 - 10.00am-12.30pm

The above course will be held on Wednesday 21 October 2009 at the BCVS Dukeries Centre, in Worksop, from 10.00am-12.30pm. The cost is £24.50 per participant.

There is limited free car parking and the Centre is fully accessible.

Despite the vital role that profile and reputation have in persuading funders to part with their cash and getting like-minded people to join them, how many voluntary organisations can truly say they take their communications activities seriously?

'Making Friends and Influencing People' is a half day workshop designed to help small organisations find their voice.

During the course of the workshop we will look at the:

  • basic fundamentals of effective communication
  • importance of branding and corporate identity for an organisation
  • strengths and weaknesses of advertising
  • role of public relations
  • effective use of new media

This workshop will be delivered by a public relations professional with more than 23 years experience in not-for-profit organisations and is designed to help small organisations get their message across in a cost effective and influential way.
