You may have to give talks and presentations about the work you do,
about plans you have, or the services you deliver. For many people this
can be a daunting prospect.
This course aims to increase your confidence and improve your skills,
enabling you to give a more professional and effective performance.
At similar courses in the past participants have asked that there be two
sessions. The first more theoretical and the second more practical.
The cost for this two day training course will be £40.00 per participant
which will include two simple buffet lunches.
The Trainer is Kate Harvey who has a great deal of experience in this
field. Kate describes the course outline as:
‘This is a course in two parts over two days and is intended for people
who have to give presentations or address public meetings. The first day
is designed to give practical hints and tips about effective
presentation skills, to help you make your presentations interesting,
stimulating, effective and memorable. It will cover:
- Planning, preparation and structuring your presentation
- Working with your own personal style
- How to gain rapport with your audience
- Common faults and pit falls
- Staying calm and enjoying it!
The second day will focus on the delivery, observation and analysis
of your presentation. It is essential to attend both days to get the
maximum benefit.
