BCVS Volunteer Awards 2025

Welcome to the BCVS Volunteer Awards 2025.

Anyone is welcome to nominate a volunteer in Bassetlaw or Bolsover District that has been supporting a voluntary or community group between April 2024 and March 2025.

Self-nominations will not be accepted, and when nominating others you should obtain permission to do so.

Award winners and runners up will be invited to attend a presentation event on Monday 2nd June for Bolsover and Friday 6th June for Bassetlaw, all winners and runners up will receive a certificate and winners will also receive a gift voucher

Volunteer nominations can include Trustees, occasional, or regular volunteers that volunteer at a community group or charity anywhere in Bassetlaw or Bolsover District

Deadline for submission is 12pm on the 18th May 2025


The categories:

Young Volunteer of the Year 

A volunteer age 16-25 inclusive, that has made an outstanding contribution to a local charity or community group

Older volunteer of the year (60+)

A volunteer age 60+, that has made an outstanding contribution to a local charity or community group 

Health & Wellbeing Volunteer of the Year 

A volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to support the health and wellbeing of our local community

Fundraising Volunteer of the Year 

A volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution supporting fundraising activities for a local charity or community group - this does not have to be large sums of money. The judges will be looking for innovative ideas and dedication.

Supportive Volunteer of the Year 

A volunteer who has gone above and beyond to support other volunteers

Outdoor Volunteer of the Year 

A volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to outdoor activities or spaces which benefit local community members

Heritage Volunteer of the Year

A volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to a heritage charity or group

Food Insecurity and Sustainability Volunteer of the Year

A volunteer who has given outstanding support for groups or people working to address local food insecurity and food sustainability

Community Grants Volunteer of the Year

A volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution towards supporting development or delivery of Shared Prosperity Fund community grants projects  including as a grant panel member or volunteer involved in a funded community grants project

Environmental Volunteer of the Year

A volunteer who has made a outstanding contribution to the development of environmental activities which improve the environmental practice of a local VCSE organisation
