Morrisons Worksop & Retford
- To supply the most needed products to our Food banks/Food hubs and good causes through our green pick up packs. Concentrating on the most frequented in areas of high poverty. £75,000 worth of these bags have been sold since 2021 over Morrisons Retford and Worksop
- Continue to supply ‘Good to Go’ Bags
- Giving the colleagues the opportunity to take home unsold products that would otherwise be wasted and thrown away.
- Promoting healthier eating habits & choices by providing fruit and veg samples to education sectors
- Removing high fat, salt and sugar products from key areas as per new government legislations
- Out of date products (best before) donated to homeless charities and food hubs.
- Offer a free piece of fruit to children in our Produce department
- Lowering hundreds of prices of our own brand products to be in line with other supermarkets
- Giving charities the opportunity to apply for funding through our Morrisons Foundation - Feeding Britain receiving £24,350.00 to support Rhubarb Farm with Freezer and Fridges for their food hubs.
