Royal Voluntary Service volunteers provide practical help and companionship that make a big difference to the lives of thousands of older people each month, helping them to live more independent lives.
As part of our Community Companions and One to One Support services, they pop in regularly for a chat over a cup of tea or as part of Community Transport, drive people that can’t get out and about to GP or hospital appointments or even to the local shops.
Volunteers also deliver books to those who love reading but can’t get to their local library with Home Library Services (also known as Books on Wheels).
