Dementia Care
Dementia is a growing concern in the UK with more and more people experiencing different levels of symptoms. This includes some form of memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. Our dementia friendly home is geared to provide the best environment to ensure our dementia patients have a safe and pleasant environment to enjoy daily life. From our extensive experience, dementia residents flourish when the environment and activities are tailored to an individual’s needs.
At Brailsford House, we take the time to get to know each resident – their history, lifestyle and personality – building our care around them. We work very closely with each resident’s family to create the best possible environment. Our relationship with family and friends is crucial to dementia care – it’s so important that residents’ loved ones feel welcome whenever they visit.
Respite/Day Care
Respite/Day Care is a very popular option, especially if you’re considering full time admission at a later date.
Respite offers carers a deserved break – a time when the carer can recharge their batteries. It gives the person being cared for a break too, a holiday from their normal routine and surroundings. Respite care can also help create a healthy care-work-life balance or allow carers to take a well-earned holiday without worrying about who’ll look after your loved one.
Our day care offer allows our guests to experience the full services of a full time resident, but on a particular day of their choice.
Our extensive training specifically for Dementia, coupled with making the home environment dementia friendly, means the care we give is the best for your loved ones.
