BBC visit Riding for Smiles

16th November

What a wonderful day. Today, Thursday November 10th, the day a BBC team came along to Riding for Smiles to make a short piece to be on the TV next week.

Riding for Smiles receives funding from BBC Children in Need.

RfS will be on East Midlands Today on Tuesday 15th or Thursday 17th. Watch this space for the exact day and time. It will also be online and on the iPlayer. This will be a short news piece, to be followed by a longer programme in the next few weeks.

Early this morning the fabulous team at Coloured Cob started the preparations for the day, bathing horses, cleaning tack, getting both carriages ready ….

The BBC team arrived at 9:30; Archdale School at 10:00, Stubbin Wood School at 11:00 and George from Whaley Thorns at 11:30. Children enjoyed horse riding through Creswell Crags; children in wheelchairs and those with limited mobility were included as RfS has a wheelchair enabled carriage; and most spent time getting up and personal by hugging and grooming the unbelievably patient ponies and horses.
