Bolsover Opens First Grant Window for the Bolsover Community Grants Programme

Bolsover Community and Voluntary Service (BCVS) has announced the opening of the first grant application window today (Friday 4th August 2023) for the Bolsover Community Grants Programme.

The Programme aims to increase volunteer numbers, basic life and educational qualifications and enhance well-being of people across the district.

Bolsover Community Grants have received £300,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. This will be distributed to community groups in Bolsover over a period of two years.

Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations based in the Bolsover District are invited to submit an eligibility check and full application to apply for this funding.

Projects should directly contribute to the enhancement of people’s skills, employability and overall quality of life. The grant window will be open for four weeks and will close at 12 noon on Friday 1st September.

The projects eligible for funding may include but are not limited to courses covering basic life skills, workshops for upskilling, qualifications and breaking down barriers for Bolsover residents into further education, employment or self-employment. All applications will be carefully evaluated based on their potential impact, sustainability and alignment with the broader goals of the Bolsover Community Grants Programme.
