14th October
Our fourth annual conference will help anyone who may need to support bereaved children and young people to understand the impact of grief, loss, and trauma on a child’s physical, emotional and mental health.
It will be delivered by our team of experienced Bereavement Counsellors, Jo Stockdale, Consultant and Trainer specialising in brain development, social and emotional competence, and wellbeing issues, and Helen Kemp, Lecturer at the University of Lincoln and Psychotherapist in private practice specialising in grief and loss with children and young people.
You will expand your knowledge by examining the theory and practical workshops how distress and trauma affect young brains and their learning and learn, how to confidently talk to children about death and better support them to strengthen their resilience, self-esteem, and confidence, and reduce negative feelings and behaviour. Much of this learning can be utilised for any child or young person whose mental and emotional health is impacted by any challenge in their lives. We will also explore the importance of self-care tips and how to look after you.
