The Council’s Cabinet have agreed to consult on proposals for future funding arrangements for the Voluntary and Community Sector organisations between December 2021 and March 2022.
You can find full details of our proposals and give your views by filling in our online questionnaire at http://www.derbyshire.gov.uk/vcsgrantfundingreview. The deadline for responses is 23 March 2022. Please note that this allows an extra week over the 12-week consultation to account for the seasonal break. We would like to reassure you that no decisions have yet been taken and all feedback from the online questionnaire will be taken into account before anything is decided.
I would ask that you distribute this information to your membership to enable as many organisations and groups as possible to respond to the consultation.
If you would like to talk to a colleague about the plans, we would be more than happy to meet with you to discuss proposals. This is not part of the formal consultation process but may provide you with the chance to fully understand how we propose working in the future and support you in submitting a formal response, the process for which is set out above. If you would like to take up this opportunity, please get in touch with either myself or Claire Burnage to arrange a meeting.
Information gathered during the formal consultation process will support the development of proposals and a report on the outcome of the consultation will be provided Cabinet in May 2022. We will of course let you know the outcome of the consultation in due course.
