Can you help us to reach teenagers and young people in your area?
Derbyshire County Council’s public health team are starting work on an oral health campaign aimed at 15 – 21 year olds and we really want to involve young people in the design and delivery of the project.
Oral health refers to the health of the teeth, gums and mouth care. Dental decay and gum disease are the most common oral conditions, but these are largely preventable.
Poor oral health can affect your overall health but if your mouth is healthy, it is easier to chew, taste, swallow, speak, and smile.
We would welcome any level of involvement from your young people.
It could be getting them to fill in a survey to help us better understand how they want to hear about health and wellbeing news, or it could be helping us to shape the messages, look and feel of the final campaign.
If you work with young people, and think this might be of interest to you, please email colleen.marples@derbyshire.gov.uk to find out more.
