Approximately 4.3 million people in Great Britain are affected by gambling harm. For every person who develops a problem with gambling, between 6 and 10 others are affected.
With extensive and proven experience in supporting those affected by others drinking and drug use, GamCHAT has found a natural home with DAAS. The project will use a combination of group learning, peer support and BACP accredited counselling to help those who, although they do not have a gambling problem themselves are feeling the consequences.
As an introduction to this brand new project we are holding a short webinar on Thursday 16th March, which will consist of a brief presentation, including information about support available and referral process and then time for questions.
