It’s hands-on history for all at our special Heritage Day at Mansfield Library.
This will be the 10th year that Mansfield has hosted Inspire’s popular FREE history event and we’ll be celebrating with a fun-filled day of activities and attractions! Join us to explore pop-up museums and local history displays, find out about family history, browse the books for sale, and get hands-on with fun crafts and activities for all the family. Take a trip down a virtual reality coal mine, unravel the history of an Anglo-Saxon burial and much more!

Twist and jive!
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Beatles performing in Mansfield, there will also be themed music performances from Inspire Music and Inspire Youth Arts during the day. If you haven't quite got your 1960s music fix, our Twisting and Jiving family concert will also be taking place in the library on the same day at 11am. Tickets for the concert must be booked and cost £4 for library members and £7 for non-library members.
