Derby City Carers Forum Event - Derby City Council hosted a listening event for carers earlier this year where carers were welcomed and invited to share their experiences as a carer. Since the event, Derby City Council have produced a report (attached) which highlights the key messages from carers on the day and identified options for how carers support could be improved. They are pleased to confirm that there will be a further event on Wednesday 23rd October 2024, 10am-1pm at Derby West Indian Community Association Centre, Carrington Street, DE1 2ND. The event, hosted by Councillor Alison Martin (Cabinet member for Adult Care and Health), will provide an opportunity for people in the City to hear about the developments that have been made since January as well as providing a further opportunity for carers to feed into the design and development of some of the actions being taken forward. Please find flyer/poster attached which contains details of how to register for the event.
