Our Stories, Our Places, Our Future’s
If you work with young people, aged between 11-25years, in the Chesterfield, Bolsover, NE Derbyshire area we have an exciting new project they might like to be involved in.
Junction Arts are about to begin work on a new partnership project, working with Adverse Camber, champions of live storytelling and music whose work creates community through the rich diversity and imaginative power of legends and stories from global cultures, & the music and stories of today.
The project will connect young people in Bolsover & NE Derbyshire with storytellers (trad, contemporary & multi art form) to create & share visions for the place they live, their stories & futures.
The main project will engage 16 young people and to recruit those participants we will be running a series of Taster workshops, in April, early May. The sessions will be about 90 minutes log and can be at a time and place to suit your group. The Tasters, at a time and place to suit you, will be informal and lively, last about 90 minutes and be led by two professional storytellers.
This is being offered on a first come first served basis so if you would like to take part in a Taster, let me know and we can discuss the opportunity further and make arrangements.
