Marches Energy: Prepayment Fuel Vouchers - Scheme Extension

The scheme was originally set to end in January but has now been extended to 31^st March 2023. A recent report estimated that 3.2 million people across Britain ran out of credit on their prepayment meter last year because they couldn’t afford to top it up and the hope is that our scheme can help as many of those people as possible.

Scheme details

• All vouchers are £49 and a maximum of 3 can be provided per household.  
• All clients will be encouraged to take up advice and support aimed at helping reduce their energy consumption and maximise their income, so as to make a long term difference.
• Please advise clients that they will receive a phone call from Marches Energy Agency/WDD following receipt of an application.  After this, it may take up to 24 hours for vouchers to be issued through our agent Auriga Services and Charis Lets Talk.
• Vouchers will be processed strictly in order of referral receipt.
• Vouchers can only be provided to prepayment meters that have a key or a card. This includes smart meters. Keys or cards for smart meter can be obtained by contacting the supplier. Please ensure the client is aware of this before making an application.
