Retford Business Forum (RBF) will be holding Retford Healthy Sunday on Retford Market Square between 10am and 2pm on Sunday 16th July 2023. There will be performances from Staples Dance Academy (10am), The Performance Hub (10.45), Retford Ukulele Group (11.45) and Let’s Sing (12.45) with DJ Sam providing the music and announcements. There will be a hula-hoop workshop from The Joker Entertainment throughout the event, and a number of stalls from various organisations involved in various health activities, including at the moment: ABL, Bassetlaw Action Centre, Bassetlaw District Council, BPL, East Retford Rugby Union Club, Girlguiding, My Gym, Hazelwood Counselling, NHS, Owning Fitness, Rattlejag, Retford Tennis Club, and Specsavers. More organisations are yet to confirm.
The RBF marshals will be around from 08.00am and stallholders can access the square from 08.00am onwards - all vehicles not required to stay during the event need to be off the square by 09.30am. Vehicles will then not normally be allowed back onto the square until 2.00pm. We ask that a maximum 5mph speed limit is used when on the square.
The square can be accessed by vehicles from Chancery Lane. All Bassetlaw District Council car parks are free on Sundays (NB private car parks are not).
If you would like to attend the event, attached is a booking form which I would be grateful if you could return along with a copy of a valid (in date on 16th July 2023) public liability insurance certificate. There is no charge for a stall or space in 2023. Please indicate on the form whether you want a market stall or a space within which to locate your own gazebo and table.
Electricity access is very limited and should be requested only if essential. All electrical connections will be inspected prior to the event opening to the public.
