Tesco Stronger Starts funding

24th January

Tesco Stronger Starts is still open for applications – I hope you can help to get the word out please. We have an internal deadline looming to be ready for the April/May/June 2024 voting with blue token in supermarkets of 9 February 2024. I need at least 3 applications every three month for several areas including Clowne (includes Bolsover), Worksop, Market Rasen and Mansfield.

I am looking for applications from local community groups for the next round.  The application once processed, will be carried forward for future panels if it does not get into this first public vote. The public votes are quarterly. The application process is open all the time if you cannot manage this deadline so do consider putting in one.

Examples of eligible applications with a focus on children and young people could be:

A local school needing support to buy food for a children’s breakfast club or snacks throughout the day

A school wanting to develop a food growing area

A school wanting to buy equipment for outdoor or indoor activities

A school supporting an after school club

A healthy eating project that supports families to cook healthy meals on a budget

A Brownie or Scout or children’s sport club/group needing funding for new play equipment or activities

Please see link for more details of how to apply on line or just put Tesco Community Grants into your search engine. https://tescostrongerstarts.org.uk/

All the guidance notes are online. The maximum you can apply for is £1,500 (which I suggest you put in the maximum amount). This will be voted on in the stores every 3 months with blue tokens in the Tesco stores.(1st place £1,500, 2nd £1,000 and 3rd Place £500).
