Worksop Business Forum with Bassetlaw District Council, Worksop Charter Trustees and other local groups are arranging the Worksop Jubilee Celebrations in June.

We will be holding a family party style event on Saturday 4th June, between 11am and 4pm. There will be music, rides and activities, local emergency services and cadets, food and drink stalls and competitions.

Sunday 5th we will be celebrating ‘The Big Lunch’ by holding a street party, this will run down Bridge Street, with tables and chairs for people to sit with their own food or buy from local traders.

We would also like local schools and groups to provide some of the entertainment and activities, whether this is singing a few songs, writing and reading some poems or, running an activity for the public to have a go at.

We would also like to invite people to make their own flag, by decorating an A4 piece of paper (landscape), writing a simple message on the back (of congratulation, community spirit or some such) and attaching it to a straw or similar. We will then have a stall where a flag can be brought and exchanged for another, so that each flag maker will end up with a flag from someone else.

We are asking if anyone has any tables and/or chairs that can be borrowed for the street party, these will be used for the event and then can be returned the week following.

If you would like to be involved or feel you would like to help in some way, please get in touch via email, emma@worksopbusinessforum.co.uk and I will get back to you.
