We are in the process of arranging the Christmas light switch on, Saturday 26th Nov, 2pm to 6.30pm.
One of the local Scout groups normally provides Santa for us, using it as a fund raising exercise for their group. Unfortunately, this year the Scouts are unable to do this, so we are looking for a local charity/non profit organisation that may wish to take on the role.
It would need to be someone DBS checked and that can provide their own outfit/props. The Lion Hotel has offered the use of their courtyard to house Santa, and if they cannot provide gifts to give to the children (the Scouts did this and charged £2), I can provide lollies to give the children and they could charge £1. We would also like Santa to turn the lights on at 6.00pm with a randomly selected child from those who have visited him during the day.
