What is the Team programme? - Team programme is a 12-week personal development course that aims to support young people to overcome barriers that affect their opportunity of gaining and sustaining employment, education and training. The programme includes a week residential, 2-week work experience placement, a community project, CV and application form workshops, First Aid and Food Hygiene training. Young people on the programme will build skills that will empower them and put them in the best possible position to apply and gain work, such as; communication, teamwork, leadership, organisation and much more. Young people will also work towards a nationally recognised Certificate in Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills. They will also benefit from additional support from one of our amazing IAF Mentors to ensure that when the programme ends, the support does not.
Who is the programme for? - The programme is for unemployed young people between the ages of 16 and 26. There are no exceptions based on backgrounds or barriers.
How much does it cost? - Nothing - the programme is free of charge and public transport costs are reimbursed.
Where is the programme? – Worksop Sea Cadets, 74a Gateford Road, Worksop
When do the programmes start? – 13th May 2024. We can accept people at any point before or during the first week of a programme.
What do our young people say about the programme?
“Princes Trust was the best thing I’ve ever done. I was in a bad rut and they helped me get out of it.”
“I had problems with talking to people for ten years. They put me at ease and very fast, I could talk in
the group. This was unreal for me.”
“They help people to be more respectful and communicate better. I have even learned some signing because someone in the group is deaf.”
