Opportunity Description: The charity has an opportunity to join a team of dedicated Trustees to help support young people within Bassetlaw to learn new skills, reach their goals and become the best version of themselves.
The Board meets 6 times per year including an AGM. The meetings currently take place during the day on Thursday afternoons and last between 2-3 hrs. Trustees make collective decisions regarding applications for funding from the Grant Giving Trust.
It facilitates a variety of fundraising events (6-7 annually), Trustees are expected to attend a minimum of 50% of events to support with welcome, registration, raffle etc. The charity works in partnership with a variety of organisations, partner events/networking which Trustees may attend.

Who we are looking for: We are looking for a person who is committed to helping to improve the lives of young people in Bassetlaw.
Share a passion about young people's wellbeing both physically and mentally.
Basic computer skills needed to access information and meeting documents.
Social media knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
Creativity and event planning so that you can contribute to new ideas.
Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS), Own vehicle or have access to a vehicle
Suitable for: Employee Volunteers, Event, Long Term Commitment
Practical considerations: Meetings are generally held at Kilton Golf Club there is a staircase to climb (no lift)
Meetings held in the day, events up to 7 per year held at varying times including a weekend day.
Volunteer induction will be given.
Training available via partnership organisations may be available.

Support for volunteers with additional needs: Yes, however the charity has a very small team of 2 paid workers therefore time is very limited as we only work 30hrs per week in total.
