Opportunity Description: To be part of a team leading the welcome spaces afternoon on a Friday on an alternating weekly basis.
This involves serving refreshments to people from all walks of life in the cafe area and ensuring it is a safe and welcoming space for them.
We are looking for someone with the ability to lead them team but also to be compassionate and caring of those who come in to use the
facilities.

Areas of Interest: Elderly, Food banks, Homeless, Mentoring
Skills: Practical, Leadership
Who we are looking for: People skills are vital for this role, as people from all walks of life come in to use the cafe at this time. Experience working in a cafe environment would be very helpful, although training can be provided if required.
Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS)
Suitable for: Indoors
Practical considerations: You will be leading a small team and sometimes working independently. Training to use cafe equipment can be provided, if necessary.

Induction Arrangments: There is an induction, in which you will be familiarised with the facilities on site and get the opportunity to meet some of the people you will be working with.

Support Available: There is a team of church trustees, church council and a volunteer coordinator to support individuals. There are also Mental health first aiders.
Training: Any necessary training will be given
