Are you tech-savvy and passionate about making a difference in your community? We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join our dynamic Digital Connect Project and help transform lives in North East Derbyshire!
âť“Why This Project Matters
In today’s digital age, many in our community—especially older adults and those facing disadvantages—are left behind. Digital exclusion leads to social isolation and makes it challenging for individuals to access essential services.

You don’t need to be an IT expert—just bring a solid understanding of essential digital skills, such as sending and receiving emails, browsing the internet, and navigating the digital landscape safely. With your passion for teaching and coaching, you'll play a vital role in empowering the communities of North East Derbyshire by sharing these important skills.
We meet our Clients in venues within their community; such as town halls, leisure centres and local libraries, so that the project is as accessible as possible to as many as possible. As a volunteer we’ll take into account where you live and ensure that we’re not asking you to travel more than you’re comfortable with, but any travel you do is fully funded.
📱Digital Connect
The project is designed for anyone in the North East Derbyshire area who wants to enhance their digital skills. Participants are welcome to bring their own smartphones or tablets, but for those without a device, we offer a tablet loan program that provides both the device and data throughout the lessons.
The program consists of 8 one-hour sessions covering essential digital skills, including:
• Using devices and managing information
• Creating and editing content
• Effective communication online
• Safe and secure online transactions
• Being responsible and safe in the digital world

Requirements: Will require a Criminal Record Check (DBS), Own vehicle or have access to a vehicle
