About us:
At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. Every year, we support around 300 families both in our hospice and in family homes.
Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family including end of life treatment and care, respite short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy, home visits and much much more. It costs more than £5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive around 15% of our funding from government sources.
The role:
Are you looking for a rewarding way to use your communications skills? Do you want to work in a small and friendly team helping share the stories of the families supported by the hospice, and busting the myth that a children’s hospice is a sad place?
The requirements:
We’re looking for a Communications Assistant who has some experience of using communications tools such as social media, website and press. This role will support our Communications Team across the full range of marketing methods and disciplines. Ideally, you’ll be committed to our cause, and want to use your skillset to really make a difference every day.
