The railway offers an exciting variety of career choices. Whatever your age, background or experience, anyone can be an engineering apprentice.
Based at Derby or Nottingham, you'll play a key role in making sure our trains are clean, safe, and reliable.
You'll get practical experience of Electrical Engineering, Fitting and Vehicle Building as well as ongoing maintenance activities that keep our trains on the right track! You'll also follow a learning pathway towards a Level 3 Traction and Rolling Stock qualification with our training provider and local colleges. At the end of your 4-year apprenticeship, you'll be ready to apply for a Senior Team Member or Technician role.
At #TeamEMR we embrace diversity. We recognise women and ethnic minority groups are under-represented in our engineering team and if you identify with one of these groups, we encourage you to apply. Your application will be welcomed, and you’ll be treated fairly.
Did you know? 4 female apprentices joined #TeamEMR in 2021
