Bassetlaw Bereavement Counselling is funded by the NNICB and offers free one to one bereavement support for adults (18+) who are struggling with grief and feel they need some help to come to terms with what’s happened and adapt to the new life they are facing without their loved one.
We are based at Bassetlaw Hospital, Worksop and offer either face to face support in one of our dedicated counselling rooms at the hospital, or for those who are unable or unwilling to travel to the hospital we can offer telephone support.
Bassetlaw Bereavement Counselling was first formed around 30 years and has an excellent reputation for helping bereaved people process their grief and find a way to start moving forwards again, whilst relocating their grief. Since it's inception, Bassetlaw Bereavement Counselling has worked with thousands of clients, helping them get to a point of acceptance.
I am the Co-ordinator for the service, and also a qualified counsellor specialising in grief and loss. As well as myself we have an Administrative Assistant and a team of Volunteers who are either qualified counsellors or counsellors in training. We are able to offer support for clients 7 days a week including evenings.
We do have a number of referrals into our service from Social Prescribers, but I wanted to ensure that you were aware of the support we offer in case you have any service users that you think may benefit from talking to us. I have attached our flyer and would be grateful if you could pass on this information to anyone who may find it useful.
