Service Overview
The Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service provides practical, goal-based support to help individuals develop tools to manage their mental health independently. The service also supports a network of peer led support groups across the county, providing each group with an individualised package of funding, training, and ongoing development support. We provide an Emotional Support Helpline to anybody who requires this support, details further below.
ThinkFest! 2021
The Derbyshire Recovery and Peer Support Service teamed up with The Georgia Bird Foundation and Chesterfield Borough council to bring you ThinkFest! 2021, the first festival in Derbyshire to get people thinking and talking about their mental health. We invited mental health services from across the county to come together and share what kind of support they offer, accompanied by live music and entertainment, guest speakers, workshops, and panels. The event took place on the 22nd October 2021 at the Winding Wheel Theatre in Chesterfield.
We would like to congratulate Ellie Scott and The Georgia Bird Foundation for putting on this fabulous event and thank all who attended, we hope to see it back in 2022. To find out more about the event or the foundation please email ellie.scott@rethink.org or georgiabirdfoundation@gmail.com
