Lloyds Bank Foundation - open programmes

3rd July

  1. Deaf and Disabled people’s organisations (DDPO) (3 years)

This programme is aimed at registered charities and CICswhich are led by and working for Deaf and Disabled people.

The organisation will work directly with Deaf and Disabled people over the long term to support them to have more choice and control over their lives, access their rights and entitlements and challenge the barriers they face.

Income between £25K and £500K

The work will be based on a social model of disability, and you will be able to show how this understanding shapes the work that you do, and enables people to have their voices heard.

Successful applicants will receive a grant of £75,000, over three years (£25,000 per year).

The grant will be unrestricted, so organisations awarded funding will be able to use the grant to support any costs that further your organisation’s social purpose.

This grant is also for mental health charities working to the social model of disability. Most of them probably do, but they need to be able to demonstrate this.

A mental health condition is considered a disability if it has a long-term effect on your normal day-to-day activity. This is defined under the Equality Act 2010.

Your condition is ‘long term’ if it lasts, or is likely to last, 12 months.

We have information on our website and a recording of the webinar which explains what we are looking for on YouTube

Closing date is 28th August.  We will be funding 42 charities in England and Wales

  1. Organisational Development Support Programme (2 years) - *New

This is a two-year development support programme, for charities that help asylum seekers and refugees and have an income between £25k - £500k.

This is not a funding programme and there is no cash grantlinked to it.

For ten years we’ve been investing in helping small and local charities build on their strengths and grow more resilient so they can thrive over the long term.

This could include working with a specialised consultant, a mentor or skilled volunteer, participating in peer networks or accessing resources, memberships and events.

With the guidance of our Regional Managers we work with charities to identify strengths and challenges and how to address these.

We want to share our organisational development support offers with charities that we’re not able to fund.

Our usual eligibility criteria apply.

This is not for CICs.

The application form is simple and there is an eligibility quiz on our website.

Closing date for applications is 1st August 5pm. We can support 60 charities in England and Wales with this programme.

We will randomly select 5 or 6 eligible charities from each of the 11 regions in England and Wales.
