New Junction Arts programme for Bolsover - Gamechanger

We have been supported through Bolsover CVS (BCVS) to deliver a new programme Gamechanger. Gamechanger is a digital skills programme that aims to provide creative learning opportunities for people not in employment, education or training (18+). 

As part of ‘Without Exception’ it will focus on inclusivity and relevance. It will offer diverse cultural experiences to increase social cohesion and cultural understanding. It will target underrepresented groups to engage in culture, specifically cultural careers.

The programme aims:

1. To reduce social isolation through programme activity and volunteering.
2. To engage with big issues through localised activity - with a specific focus on environmental issues.
3. To build confidence, self-esteem and resilience.
4. Develop skills.

 Delivery is built around the following three digital specialisms:

1. Digital Media e.g. podcast and video - 4 sessions
2. Animation: Live brief to create work for BWN - 4 sessions
3. Digital online software e.g. free Canva, Ai - those used within the workplace and as self-employed – 4 sessions

The programme will culminate in the group creating some content for this years Bright Winter Nights, due to take place on Friday 29^th November
